Jia and her mom came to Seattle from Bellingham to have me photograph her senior portraits. What a compliment! It was great to get to know Jia as we wandered through Pike Place Market and along the waterfront as the sun set. It was beautiful weather for portraits in Seattle.

The Skansonia is a stationary ferry boat docked at the north end of Lake Union with some of the best views of Seattle of any venue in the area. It was such a hot day that one of the groomsmen sprayed champagne all over himself. I've rarely seen a wedding party laugh harder. Congratulations!

Then we went to Gas Works Parks for the portraits before heading to Imperia Lake Union. They had their wedding at Fairview Park just down the street from Imperia before heading up for dinner and reception.

We ended the day at Willows Lodge for the wedding reception in Woodinville. Elizabeth and Vince are a wonderful couple that was obviously very happy to be marrying each other. What a beautiful day!
Read MoreSteph and Shamele met on a dating app. She was on the Olympic Peninsula and he was in Seattle. Because they were not very far in a straight line, the app told them they were close to each other not taking into account there was a greater than two-hour drive between them. They made the effort to meet anyway, and it seems to have worked out!
We started at the Washington Park Arboretum for portraits with their pup. Then we went to the Seattle Municipal Court for a wedding with Judge Chess on the rooftop deck with their immediate families.
Morgan and Sam came up from Nevada to visit Seattle. They have been together for a long time. Sam arranged for me to meet them at Kerry Park with a view of the Space Needle behind them for his proposal. She said “Yes!”
