I met Laura and Bret at Rattlesnake Lake for their engagement portraits. I hadn’t seen the lake with such a low water level before which exposed lots of old tree stumps. It was an odd, cool look that made for some very cool photographs, but not what I was expecting. I can’t wait for Laura and Bret’s wedding in a few months!

It was a hot and smoky day, so it led to some interesting haze and some intense colors later in the evening. After going to and from Bainbridge Island on the ferry, we walked to Pier 62 for some sunset images.

We started there, and then walked down the Sammamish River Trail and Burke Gilman Trail to Blyth Park and Wayne Park. They are a very fun couple to hang out with!

I met them at the Bainbridge ferry terminal in Seattle for their engagement portraits. We bought walk-on tickets and took photographs all over the boat. After our ride, we walked up to Occidental Square and took some portraits on the top of a parking garage. It was fun!

We met at the Everett Marina where they shared a date for one of their anniversaries. We somehow managed to dodge most of the showers on a very rainy day and get some great images of them together.

Which is funny because there wasn’t really a sunset, but rather a big group of dark clouds that swooped over Seattle in just in time steal away our sunset. We made it work with some really cool images of the two of them anyway!
