Julie grew up in Seattle, but she lives in Barcelona. When she came to visit her parents with her husband and baby, they wanted family portraits. So Julie asked her friend Julie (no typos) who to have photograph their family, the second Julie in the story recommended me. This obviously means I am an internationally famous photographer. We walked around South Lake Union Park and the surrounding area include the Center for Wooden Boats. Then, they got married in the speakeasy room in the apartment complex. Very fun!

We found a new, cool rooftop parking garage for a few images as well as some of my favortie places like the main branch of the Seattle Public Library and the Freeway Park area. Then we went over to City Hall for the wedding!

We started there, and then walked down the Sammamish River Trail and Burke Gilman Trail to Blyth Park and Wayne Park. They are a very fun couple to hang out with!

Now, a decade later, I got to photograph her and Josh for the engagement portraits at Seward Park in Seattle. We did the shoot late in the evening with the idea of getting some awesome sunlight streaming through the forest. I think we nailed it!

I was only able to attend for the first hour, but I was happy to go and create some images for them. There were also two people running for Bothell City Council there. Han Tran, who was one of the organizers and speakers, and Jenne Alderks who was there in support.

It was a gray and slightly sprinkly late winter day. They laughed a lot and the love amongst their family was obvious. Willows Lodge arranged for them to get married in the small library upstairs.
