Smith Tower is a beautiful and iconic part of the Seattle skyline. It has a beautiful space for weddings (and cocktails) on the floor of the observation deck. I loved photographing a wedding there after including it in the background of my photographs for decades.
I met Beka and Joe at the Smith Tower in Seattle before their wedding. I love Smith Tower and have used in the background of so many of my wedding and elopement images. For this event, the wedding was inside the tower, which I hadn’t been inside for year. I am very glad that camera gear has improved so much in the time between and now has enough dynamic range to allow there to be detail in both the couple and the much brighter background.
