Imperia Lake Union - Seattle Wedding Venue
The Imperia Lake Union is a beautiful and unusual Seattle wedding venue. In addition to the beautiful ceremony and reception room, they offer floral design, catering, planning, and cakes making them a bit of a one-stop-shop. The staff is also really great to work with! Most importantly, it has great places for the wedding photography as well as quick access to some really great photography locations including University Bridge and a short drive to either UW or Gas Works Park. Below you can see some of my images taken there over the years below, or visit the Imperia Lake Union website for more information. The venue was previously known as the Lake Union Cafe.
Ashley and Alex are a fantastic, warm, and caring couple that met at their gym. It was a lot of fun to photograph the two of them and their friends and family at their Imperia Lake Union wedding. They had a set designer create a very cool backdrop on the stage for their wedding. I don’t see that a lot at Imperia because it has so much style that it doesn’t need a lot added to it. However, the designer did a great job of enhancing the space and making it unique to Ashley and Alex while retaining the art deco charm that the venue always has. It is one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph in Seattle.
Jasmine and Mitch are an incredibly enjoyable and affectionate pair. Capturing their photographs was a pleasure. Their wedding ceremony took place at the stunning Imperia Lake Union in Seattle.
Shannon and Jeremy are a great couple and they made photographing their wedding day a joy! After some getting-ready images of Shannon and her crew, we went to the Washington Park Arboretum for the couple, family, and bridal party portraits. I love the Arboretum and all of the different places to photograph even if the fall leaves are a little delayed this year. Then, we went to the Imperia Lake Union for the wedding and reception. The Imperia Lake Union has a fantastic ceremony room and dancefloor area that makes for some super cool images. Also, I love night shots with their sign!
Kristen and Will were a lot of fun to photograph! During the wedding ceremony, there was a story told of how Will showed Kristen photos of his Marvel cosplay during their first date. Evidence shows that wasn't enough to scare Kristen away! Haha! Congrats to a great couple!
Emily and Scott work in broadcast journalism. It is always a privilege to photograph a wedding for people that work with images every day. In addition to that, they have a great group of friends and are a lot of fun to hang out with. Their beautiful wedding day started with getting ready at the Hotel Monaco in downtown Seattle. Then we went to Gas Works Parks for the portraits before heading to Imperia Lake Union. They had their wedding at Fairview Park just down the street from Imperia before heading up for dinner and reception.
Danya is a writer and Liam is a lawyer. They are a fantastic couple that was a lot of fun to photograph. They went with a 1920's themed wedding that went great with the decor at the Imperia Lake Union.
Kai Di and Richard are a fantastic couple that laughs a lot and has fun together! We started at their home, then went to Gas Works Park for portraits. The wedding and reception were at the beautifully remodeled Imperia Lake Union.
Jim and Joe had a beautiful summer day for their wedding at the newly remodeled Imperia Lake Union. They have known each other for decades. Now they have tied the knot. Truly a pleasure to meet them and spend their wedding day with them!
Rachael & Aaron made their wedding into a two day event with ceremonies at the Edgewater Hotel on the waterfront and the cool, art deco styling of the Lake Union Cafe. Both their ceremonies were beautiful and heartfelt.
Erin and Adam had a beautiful, cold fall day for their Seattle wedding. We went to the cold and windy Gas Works Park for some portraits. It was a little too cold by the water to stay long, but we hid near the actual gas works to take some more cool and interesting images. Then we went over to the beautiful Lake Union Cafe for their wedding and reception.
Cacia and Nick had a wonderful ceremony at the Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Shoreline before we went to Gas Works Park for some spectacular couple and group portraits with views of Seattle across Lake Union. Then we joined friends and family at the Lake Union Cafe for dinner and reception. Very cool people and a very fun day!
Bryn and Austin are a great couple. I really enjoy spending time with them and their friends and family. We started at Bryn's family home in Ballard, went to the Ballard Locks, Fairview Park and finally over to the Lake Union Cafe. They had a beautiful ceremony and a fun party.
Sarah and Alex had a beautiful wedding day at the Lake Union Cafe in Seattle. They are a fun and adventurous couple that I really enjoyed photographing. We walked around Fairview Park and the nearby waterfront as well as the University Bridge.
Emmie and Chris are a really great couple. They were a lot of fun to be around on their wedding day. They got ready at the Sorrento Hotel, which I love. From there we went to Volunteer Park and the University Bridge for photographs before heading to the Lake Union Cafe for the ceremony and reception. It was a great day.
Megan and Daniel are a great couple. I had a great time photographing their wedding. We started at their home where they were getting ready. We went to the University of Washington Campus for some portraits before going to the Lake Union Cafe for their wedding and reception!
Tristan and Ben's beautiful Seattle summer wedding on Lake Union at Fairview Park with a reception at the Lake Union Cafe.
Angie and Vinh had a beautiful church wedding followed by a reception at the Lake Union Cafe in Seattle. There wedding combined her Polish American heritage from the midwest and his from China and New Zealand.
Catie, Jared, their friends, and their family were a fantastic group of people. Their wedding at the Lake Union Cafe was beautiful. We also went to quite a few parks for photographing their portraits.
Amy and Matt's beautiful Lake Union Cafe wedding with additional stops at Pike Place Market and Gas Works Park!
Aimee and Joel are a great couple. They both light up when they are around each other. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Lake Union Cafe, which is one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding. I think it has the coolest ceiling and chandeliers in Seattle. Before the ceremony, we went to Gas Works Park and the Washington Park Arboretum for portraits.
