Seattle Engagement Portraits | Joy & Mike
Joy and Mike are huge Seattle Seahawks fans. Also, we won the Superbowl this year with style. With that in mind we started the engagement portrait session at Century Link Field, the home of the Seattle Seahawks, Superbowl winners. Yes, those of us from Seattle have been starved for a major championship, so I am repeating "Seattle Seahawks, Superbowl Champions" just a few more times so that everyone gets the point. Beyond the fact that Joy and Mike enjoy watching the Seahawks win, they are a very fun couple that laugh a lot together. After a few images at Century Link Field, we walked around Pioneer Square and Occidental Park. Then we went down to Myrtle Edwards Park and the Olympic Sculpture Park for a nightcap of Sunset portraits.
Joy and Mike's engagement portrait at Century Link Field. I played a little with an HDR effect.
I loved the reflection off of the new building in the north parking lot.
Playing with light and shadow as they walked down the street.

A solo portrait of Mike in Occidental Park with the faded Ranier Beer sign.
I really liked this image of Joy and Mike as they walked down first avenue. I was playing with light, shadow and lens flare.
Life is good when you have the one you love in your arms!

Playing with the flash and city lights.
For this last image, I backlit them with the flash.
