Firefighters and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society...
In March I photographed the Scott's Firefighter Stairclimb. This is a wonderful event where firefighters from around the country and the world climb the 76 story Columbia Tower in full gear. The event proceeds go the the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It is a truly wonderful cause and a great event to photograph. Here is a letter I received from one firefighter yesterday.
Hello Cory, I just wanted to drop you an email and say thank you for the picture I received in the mail last week. Â I am sure you took many photos on the tower climb this year and I just want to say thank you for the photo where you caught Ben and I shaking hands. Â I was surprised to see the photo was being used in the awards ceremony especially because I had no idea the picture was even taken. Â I hope that the efforts of the many firefighters and yourself on this event that we will help those like Ben and the many other individuals effected by these awful blood related cancers. Â I want you to know that I am very grateful for your donation of this photo and your contribution to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Â The photo is proudly displayed in my office.Thank you,
